I got mine to work eventually using that miniVGA to VGA connector. Not sure why yours wont' stay on though, that sounds like a graphics card issue maybe. or something. that is even more frustrating than having to get a cord :D

Well its 2009 and the old G5 is still alive and well. Unfortunately I had the same problem. I've had my cintiq for 2 days now and have only seen the screen light up for 30 seconds or so before it turned off again. I keep reastarting the mac hoping it will sync up with the tablet. no such luck.

*blinks* What unexpectedly nice things I got to read as a reward for clicking through to finish reading the entry. :)

On the topic of landscape studies: from one over-achiever to another, may I humbly suggest you consider, say, 180 or even 102 (one every other day, or two a week), which may actually be in the realm of possibility, and which gives you a fair amount of studies done without the grim "I'm not doing enough for my own artistic benefit" to compete with "I want to spend time with my family"?

Ugh. Daughter in Middle School. I've been there, man. It gets pretty weird. You'll pull through it, though.
